Welcome to the most bizarre, most thrilling, and by 'eck, the grubbiest event on the planet. The ultimate fun run, created for the thrill-seekers among us, being held in Sydney.
Join thousands of wacky-racers as you run, crawl or even belly-flop your way through 7km of mud-pits, bog-holes and rivers oozing with thick, cold, gooey muck.
Whether you're a fanatical runner or a self-confessed couch potato, the Mud Run is for everyone – you can run or even walk the entire course.

With hot weather forecast for the event day, the Mud Run was going to be one to remember! The message on the day was clear, water, mud, water and more mud and boy did the SIEC deliver.

With over 7,500 people running on the day we saw people from all over Sydney beat the heat and attack the 7km course with muddy smiles on their faces. The slip and slide, 2 mud pits, 2 water jumps and sprinklers out on the steeple chase, cooled down the competitors as they ran, waded and crawled through what is our biggest event of the year.

By the end of the day the heat had reached its peaked but that didn't stop almost 1,000 kids under the age of 11 running wild through the Mud Dash a shorter 1km loop which was aimed to get the kids involved and most importantly get them dirty!

2013 will see the return of the Mud Run to SIEC bigger and better! Being run over 2 days the event will cater for adults and a more party atmosphere on Saturday 30th November and a family kid friendly day on the Sunday 1st December.

So if you didn't get a chance to be a part of this annual event be sure to put a reminder in your calendar this is one weekend not to be missed.
